6 Months Old

Wow Chloe, I cant believe that you are 6 months old already!

You are such a big girl.

This month you have actually started saying "Momma". I love it! But I think Daddy really wished you would say "Dada". It's okay though we are still proud of you!

You  have started eating solids this month and let's just say, you're not a big fan. But at least you're cute while spitting everything up.

You still have formula about every 3-4 hours. (about 6 oz.)

You can roll from your back to your tummy. But not the other way. You hate getting stuck on your belly.

Another new thing you have learned this month is to sit up, mostly with help, but you can sit up on your own for a little while.

Your first tooth started to pop through last week. You are doing pretty well for a teething baby. You're a little more fussy at times and somewhat clingy but honestly I am surprised at how happy you have been in the midst of your teething. (We think it's because of your amber teething necklace.)

You are such a happy girl!

Your Daddy and I have tried to put you in your crib over night but you still wake up to eat about 2 times a night. We are trying to wean you off night time feedings but for now you are still sleeping in our room in your playpen.

It seems like you have grown so fast in this last month and I know that you are only going to grow faster in the coming months.

We love you so much Chloe Mayme!

The Cradle Did Rock

Christopher and I received this cradle from a few sweet ladies at our church in Owasso. I wasn't sure that anyone would get it when we registered for it. It was been perfect for Chloe.

I remember setting it up with Christopher when we still lived in my old bedroom in my parents house. It was the first piece of furniture for Chloe and I loved it.

After our baby shower it was home to everything we got for awhile

I loved the whole"nesting" phase and the cradle was the most important part.

I loved it before Chloe was even born.

And then our baby girl finally came.

Our home might have changed soon after Chloe was born but the place we laid her little head down at night stayed the same.

And so Chloe grew...

and grew...

and grew...

And now she's outgrown her sweet little cradle. Like a lot of things that used to fit just right, and this Mamma can't help but want to take a pause. I just want to remember to enjoy every single little thing, everyday.

because someday soon she's going to
out grow her car seat,

out grow her crib,

out grow her high chair,

out grow her footie pajamas,

out grow her bicycle,

out grow her eyes for only Daddy,

out grow her bedroom in our home...

Soak up the little things Allie.

Every. Single. Day.

But for now I wanted to remember all that this cradle has meant to us.
I'm sure down the road this cradle will be brought out one day for another baby Gilmer but never again for My Chloe.

Thanks for reading Friends.
