So in our relationship, I am usually the one to set out plans and then follow them, with or without help. I'm a list person. I think of tasks, write them out, and follow them through, checking them off as I go.
Christopher is more easy going. If someone asks for his help he is more than willing to help. But it is not natural for him to look for unpleasant tasks.
That being said,
Christopher and I were sick over the weekend. Our room was under quarantine. I went through at least one whole box of tissues, myself. And when I am sick... I'm not as tidy as I would like to be. Laundry, trash, and dishes, were as far as the eye could see.
I had been putting off the daunting task of cleaning our room because I was exhausted.
I go to a Bible Study on Tuesday nights and usually Christopher uses those nights for a much deserved "Chris Night". He'll play his Xbox or watch something sports related.
Last night when I got home from the Bible Study, Christopher was waiting for me at the door. He was so excited to show me something. I thought he was excited about a new NHL14 game thing I wouldn't understand.
Much to my surprise, he had spent the night cleaning our room. It looked amazing!! I know how long it must have taken him and he was thrilled to show me. I broke in to tears (story of my life). He took away from his own down time to make my life easier. Best Husband Ever!!
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Have a great day!
